International Carton Box Standard

There are two types of international corrugated box standards. One is the international corrugated board standard approved by the International Corrugated Board Association and jointly developed by the European Corrugated Board Manufactures Federation (FEFCO) and the Swiss Cardboard Association (ASSCO). One is the national standards of Japan and the United States. In the international carton box type standard, the text name of the box type is represented by a simple 4-digit to 8-digit code. Various box types have legends in the standard.

The unified serial number indicates different box structures in the same box type. The modification is a modification of the standard box type by each manufacturer. The box types represented by different manufacturers' modified suffix codes are different, but the same manufacturer should be the only one dedicated. The suffix code is convenient for building CAD / CAM library or special box library.

Such as the commonly used 02-type carton, also known as slotted carton, using a sheet of cardboard molding, the connected upper and lower flaps can close the carton. Generally, in carton factories, joints are joined by nailing, adhesive or adhesive tape. The length of the joining edge depends on the thickness of the corrugated cardboard used, and is generally between 25 mm and 45 mm. The 02 type also has a bottom insertion structure, which is characterized by preventing the contents from leaking out from the bottom. The 02 corrugated box is flat when transported, and the contents are sealed with a flap when in use, which is the most widely used.
