Part 1. Rigid Chipboard & Art Paper GSM Guide (Outer Gift Box for Perfume, Cosmetics, Jewellery, Handbags, Scented Candles)

250–350 gsm C1S / C2S coated art paper Applied for collapsible folding cartons, tuck open hanging card boxes, candle retail display packages and lightweight skincare outer wrappers. Designed for flat shipped folding style packaging.

800 gsm Rigid Chipboard Entry level rigid base board for pillow boxes, lightweight candle gift boxes and tiny jewellery containers, fit for products lighter than 150 g.

1000 gsm Rigid Chipboard Our best selling thickness. Perfect for standard perfume boxes, cosmetic gift sets, daily use jewellery packaging and small ladies bag accessory boxes. It strikes a good balance of stiffness, premium hand feel and production expense, suitable for most luxury custom packaging orders.

1200 gsm Rigid Chipboard Heavy gauge premium cardboard. Suggested for high end perfume collections, bulky jewellery cases, heavy duty candle boxes and ladies handbag presentation boxes. Anti deformation and delivers substantial luxury unboxing touch.

Part 2. Corrugated Shipping Box Flute & Thickness Guide

Common Flute Size Specification

E Flute (1.5 1.8 mm thickness, 300 400 gsm) Thin, fine flute corrugated board with smooth surface for printing. Best for small size retail ready shipping boxes, candle individual outer packaging and small jewelry shipping cartons.

B Flute (2.5 3.0 mm thickness) Hard wearing, puncture resistant. Ideal for short distance parcel delivery, perfume gift box outer shipping packages.

C Flute (3.5 4.0 mm thickness) Balanced cushioning and stacking performance, the most popular shipping box material. Fit for bulk shipments of cosmetic boxes, multi piece candle sets and small sized handbag packaging.

A Flute (4.5 5.0 mm thickness) Highest shock absorbing flute grade. Used for fragile glass perfume bottle bulk shipments and high value jewellery box transit packaging.

BC Double Wall Corrugated Board (6-7 mm) Heavy duty double layer corrugated sheet. For large batch ladies’ hand bag cartons and high value bulk cargo with strict anti damage requirements.
